Since I was a teenager, I have had a long history of dealing with mental & physical illness. I suffered from terrible depression, thoughts of death and debilitating feelings of panic along with severe stomach pains and hives. When I was 20 years old, I finally went to see a psychiatrist. I was diagnosed with OCD and depression and was put on two medications. Unfortunately, the medications did not alleviate any of my symptoms. In fact, they made things worse so I stopped taking them. Over the next 10 years I saw multiple mental health counselors who prescribed different medications, none of which helped.
I decided to give up on the traditional medical solutions that had failed me for so long. In 2016, I contacted the Amen Clinic to have brain imagining performed. The SPECT scan reflected how I was feeling. My limbic system (the emotional part of the brain) was overly active and shaped like a diamond. My prefrontal lobe showed brain injury and the left side of my brain showed scalloping and toxicity. Specialists said that my brain had inflammation from possible Lyme infection.
In February 2017, my symptoms had gotten so bad that I couldn’t function well enough to do my job. I was dealing with terrible brain fog, focus and memory issues, difficulty finding words and felt super irritable and anxious. I was rushed to the ER twice due to major panic attacks. In March of 2017, I went to a Lyme disease treatment center in Naples, FL. Extensive lab and genetic testing showed that I have a rare HLA-gene that leaves me susceptible to Lyme and mold toxins. My immune system doesn’t recognize them. I spent 5 weeks detoxing from heavy mold toxicity, candida and fungal overgrowth. My red blood cells were more than 80% mutated from toxicity.
For the past 3 years I have lived a very strict, healthy lifestyle. I am gluten free, eat only healthy whole foods and consume very little sugar. I am alcohol free and exercise regularly. It took my body just under 2 years to detox from all the candida and fungal overgrowth. My red blood cells are normal and I feel much less anxious and closer to myself again. Unfortunately, because of the Lyme and toxic mold that I had for so long, I still cope with cognitive and physical such as: brain fog, focus and memory issues, poor circulation, waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air and constant twitching in my calves.
I’ve been researching additional treatment options for some time and have recently discovered Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). I’ve learned that HBOT has been extremely successful in treating people who suffer from Lyme disease, mold toxicity and candida. HBOT acts as an anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal agent. It has been shown to reduce pain significantly, alleviate sleep dysfunction, and reduce cognitive impairment. It also decreases inflammation and swelling, increases energy, and increases the body’s white blood cell activity, boosting the immune system and promoting healing.
I learned that there is a non-profit facility in Northwest Ohio that I can go to called Sara’s Garden. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for my situation is only $150 per treatment at Sara’s Garden (as opposed to $1,500-2,500 per treatment at a hospital). Unfortunately, in the United States insurance companies do not recognize HBOT as being therapeutic for the treatment of these conditions, and will therefore not cover the cost of the treatments. Since my plan is to receive at least 40 HBOT treatments that cost adds up quickly. I could really use your help!
If you could assist me with the cost (or even just part of the cost) of a single $150 treatment it would help reduce my overall expenses greatly. 100% of the funds received will go into an account in my name and will be used for my treatments. Any contribution made would be considered a tax-deductible donation as Sara’s Garden is a 501(c)(3) non-profit facility. Checks can be made out to Sara’s Garden with my name on a sheet of paper accompanying the check. You can also donate online via credit card by clicking on the DONATE NOW button below.
Thank you so much for considering the support for my treatments at Sara’s Garden. Your love and support will not go unnoticed or unappreciated!
